What personal data we collect and why we collect it

This data is stored in a locked cabinet, that only TBH has access to. Your data is also processed on our Booking Software, Ovatu Pty Ltd, and may be shared with those employees, but will not be shared with any other Third Parties.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We use Contact Form 7 as a preferred method of communication from you to us via our website https://www.thebeauty-hideaway.co.uk. Information we collect from the contact form is your first name and surname, we also collect your email address, telephone number, subject line and your message.
An additional acceptance checkbox has been added to comply with the GDPR regulations. By checking this box you will be providing us with your permission to use the information you send us to communicate with you via email or telephone for the purpose of doing business with us or making an inquiry into our products or services.
Your personal information sent through the contact form may only be seen by the company owner, Rachel Cude. Your data is sent through a secure HTTPS and will be stored on our database for a maximum of 3 days. Our data centres are with Fasthosts based in the UK. Your data will never be shared with third-party entities.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

We will share your information with:
- Ovatu Pty Ltd – Providers of our Booking Salon Software. This is entirely for the purpose of enabling them to provide their services for the running of TBH.
Other third parties including (without limitation) IT service providers, data storage, web-hosting and server providers and payment systems operators.
We have rigorous data protection and security policies in place with all our suppliers.
We will not share your information with any other third party without your consent except to help prevent fraud, or if required to do so by law.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment/ review, the comment/ review and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Your Personal Data will be reviewed on a Yearly basis, and updated with any requested changes. If you stop visiting TBH longer than a Year your data will be Archived, but retained for 7 Years as per Insurance Requirements. If you decide to opt out we will no longer be able to perform treatments on you, due to the legal requirements for this data.

The Data Subject has the following rights:

We do our best to keep your Personal Data safe. We use safe protocols for communication and transferring data (such as HTTPS). We use anonymising and pseudonymising where suitable. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. We have also installed additional security to our servers and our website.

Even though we try our best we cannot guarantee the security of information. However, we promise to notify suitable authorities of data breaches. We will also notify you if there is a threat to your rights or interests. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist authorities should any breaches occur.

What third parties we receive data from
We receive data from Google Analytics to better understand our customers, we look for geo-location, pages most visited, how long a vistor stays on a page or product. We do this so we can provide better services for our customers/visitors.

What we collect and store
While you visit our site, we’ll track:

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; We will provide Royal Mail or other couriers with your Name and address so that we can send you the products you have purchased from us.

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.
We also collect payment by cash and by card payments through a card machine in our shop. This is fully PCI compliant.
We also collect payments by direct payment to our account from yours. In this situation we would provide you with our account information and once paid we will see your chosen payment reference and name on our statements.
